Patrick Kilgannon

Patrick is currently an MB ChB student completing his medical studies at the University of Leicester, College of Life Sciences. He has particular interest in anaesthetics and emergency medicine. Patrick’s scientific journey began when he represented the De Montford University on behalf of the Nuffield Foundation, conducting research on sexual health behaviours. He has since had work published which focused on public health issues in contemporary medicine.

Patrick is also keen to pursue a career in medical education and research in the future. He has worked in collaboration with the online learning environment - Edmaster - in creating educational videos for the medicine curriculum across the United Kingdom. Alongside his work for the Cambridge Medicine Journal, Patrick is also an academic advisor for the Young Scientist Journal.

In his spare time, Patrick has an enthusiasm for travelling, reading and spending time with friends and family.
